PVT. FRANCIS OF WILLIAMSBURG

PVT. FRANCIS OF WILLIAMSBURG has completed the first 2/3rds of it's production. Cinematography resumes May and concludes late June, 2010, with a release expected in 2011. Josh Wick performs in a teaser trailer for the feature film ORPHANED produced by Nameinuse Productions, directed by John W. Yost and starring Wick and Kevin Craig West. Production on Orphans begins in the fall.

A rough cut of Eric Morris Eskenazi's film MESHUGGENEH screens Monday, September 14th, 8pm at Tea Lounge, 837 Union St., Brooklyn, NY. Click here for more information.

IndieWIRE reports THE ASSASSIN, directed by Devin E. Haqq, produced by Josh Wick, and represented by digital content agency Cinetic Rights Management, will be distributed online through broadband portal Babelgum in late 2009, early 2010.

Takeshi Fukunaga's short film K, starring Josh Wick, competes this September in the Cinema City International Film Festival 2009 and will be screened as part of Anthology Film Archives' New Filmmakers Series in October.

Two new Trailers are viewable online of Gum Grove Films' Meshuggeneh. Josh Wick is a producer on the film with director Eric Morris Eskenazi.

A PARANOID'S GUIDE TO HISTORY has three new dates in June :

INRECO's documentary-theatre performance is featured as part of The Brick Theatre's THE FILM FESTIVAL: A THEATER FESTIVAL June 13 at 7pm and June 28 at 5pm, 575 Metropolitan Ave in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Tickets $15 through TheaterMania.

The event also begins a semi regular run at Barbes, also in Brooklyn, starting with it's opening performance June 22 at 7pm. Barbes is at 376 9th St. in Park Slope (between 6th Ave and 7th Ave). ADMISSION IS FREE. Future dates to be announced soon!

A PARANOID'S GUIDE TO HISTORY returns to the stage at Barbès, 376 9th St. (corner of 6th Ave.) in Park Slope, Brooklyn, on Monday, March 31st, 2008 at 8PM. The variety show played two days in March, the 10th ("Whither America?") and the 24th ("The Entertainment-Industrial Complex") at what hopefully will materialize into a semi-regular venue. THE ASSASSIN continues it's roll on the festival circuit. The imperfectfilms co-production just played The Pan-African Film Festival February 12 and the 17th. The film has also been asked to compete in the Nashville Film Festival in April.

We look forward to presenting THE PARANOID'S GUIDE TO AMERICA March 10th, the second installation of our ongoing off-off Broadway multi-media variety show, co-produced with the INRECO insititute.

Meanwhile, imperfectfilms is currently co-producing MESHUGGENEH with Gum Grove Films and we've gotten a curious notice by gawker.com earlier (sorry, just gettin' caught up).

I've been editing the web videos for Gettin' Some's Dan and Chris, self described "gettin-laidologists, experts in the field of gettin-laidology". You can watch our ongoing efforts here.

What else can I say? Yes we can!

THE ASSASSIN Festival Update:

THE ASSASSIN will compete in the PAN-AFRICAN FILM FESTIVAL scheduled for February 7-18, 2008 in Los Angeles. More soon!

Eric Morris Eskenazi's Williamsburg Slasher epic MESHUGGENEH is currently in production and is expected to be shooting through February 2008. Imperfectfilms is a co-producer with Gum Grove Films. Check the Gum Groves Films website for ongoing updates.

Also available to watch a samples from imperfectfilms' video production of "Cloud Nine" the latest performances by NYU's GSP THEATRE .

imperfectfilmmaker Josh Wick is currently editing the ongoing, on-line series, GETTIN' SOME, episodes of which can be seen at funnyordie.com. Not for the faint of heart.

Now available to view, A PARANOID'S GUIDE TO HISTORY video-lecture series, as well as the accompanying video installations (including "got war?"), from the recent Off-Off-Off Broadway imperfectfilms & INRECO co-production. The multimedia, documentary-theatre event, which included the talents of mysterious imperfectfilmmakers Mr. J, Dr. W and Mr. E, ran from April 12-14th and 19-21st, 2007, at Theater Under St. Marks, New York, NY.

Also, making their online debut, the imperfectshorts "crossroads" and "foolsgold", are now available to view in their entirety.

THE ASSASSIN is proud to be invited to compete in The Lake Placid Film Forum 2007 as well as Urbanworld VIBE Film Festival 2007. Please join us if you can (links are above). More honors are no doubt forth coming!

Takeshi Fukunaga's short film "The Hole in the Sky" was selected for a grant from National Board of Review of Motion Pictures and also selected for one of the three awards for fiction film at The Cuny Asian American Film Festival (and can be watched at the festivals website now). imperfectfilmmaker Josh Wick mixed sound and has a small cameo in the film.

Check out our new samples for imperfectfilms' video production of two performances by NYU's GSP PLAYERS ("Anouilh's Antigone" and "Midsummer Night's Dream"). Also watch a taped performance of "There is Nothing New to Say" performed by The Vertigo Quartet from their DVD LIVE AT THE BOWERY POETRY CLUB (produced by imperfectfilms).

Thanks for your patience. A new look for imperfectfilms. More videos then ever are available, including a number of the short films from our catalogue, which will very soon be available to view in their entirety online.

THE ASSASSIN gets a FIRST-LOOK SCREENING at The Pioneer theatre, 155 E. 3rd St. (between Ave. A + B) in New York City, Wednesday January 24th and Friday January 26th, 2007 at 6:10 PM. The screening is FREE and There is no reserve seating, though members of the cast and crew will be given first priority. Arrive early to guarantee your seat at this event. More Info here.
